Release notes for September through December 2023

Hi there, VOGSY users! We're excited to share with you some of the new features and enhancements that we've been working on for the past couple months. These updates are designed to make your work easier, faster and more enjoyable. Here are some of the highlights:

• Subscription deliverables no longer require Finish dates, meaning if you offer a service that has no predefined time limit, you no longer need to periodically extend the Finish date of your deliverable.
• Two new layouts for search views: List view, which, because of its compact layout, allows you to view more information; and Kanban view, which is only available for opportunities and allows you to track their progress.
• Other updates to expenses, currency selection, deliverables templates, and accounting integrations.

Introducing VOGSY's Enhanced Search Views: More Layouts for Better Workflow Management

At VOGSY, we are committed to providing you with an efficient and user-friendly experience. We've listened to your feedback and are excited to announce a new improvement to our search pages. Whether you're managing people, organizations, opportunities, or projects, you'll find these updates designed to streamline your workflow.

Every search page now features at least two layout options: the original Card view and the new List view.

We understand that managing opportunities often require a more nuanced approach, which is why we've introduced an exclusive feature to the Opportunity search page—the Kanban view with a drag and drop option.

Release notes for July through August 2023

Hi there, VOGSY users! We're excited to share with you some of the new features and enhancements that we've been working on for the past couple months. These updates are designed to make your work easier, faster and more enjoyable. Here are some of the highlights:

• Move time from one deliverable to another. With the latest update, VOGSY introduces the ability to move time from one deliverable to another within a project. This feature allows you to efficiently manage project progress and budget allocation when commercial agreements with clients are not yet finalized or when specific project parts need to be tracked separately with their own purchase orders (POs). 
• Invite non-employees/guests to sign-in to VOGSY. You can now invite your contract employees (and other non-employees) to join your VOGSY environment using their own email address of choice.
• Subscription finish dates are now optional. With the Subscription invoicing method, you can now make the finish date of the associated deliverable optional, which is ideal for non-time-limited service agreements.
• Xero integration improvement. Now when VOGSY syncs an AP record to Xero, it also syncs the associated supplier invoice to Xero.

Release notes for April through June 2023

Hi there, VOGSY users! We're excited to share with you some of the new features and enhancements that we've been working on for the past three months. These updates are designed to make your work easier, faster and more enjoyable. Here are some of the highlights:

- Label management system: You can now create and assign labels to your VOGSY records, such as organizations, projects, opportunities, activities and invoices. Labels help you categorize, filter, and search for your records more easily. You can also use labels to track the status, priority, or progress of your records.

- UI improvements: We've improved the look and feel of the screens that you use to allocate resources to your projects and activities.

- Email template translation: You can now translate your email templates into different languages, so you can communicate with your clients and prospects in their preferred language. You can also customize the subject line and body of your emails to suit your needs.

- Invoice tracking screen: Organization and project pages now have a pop-out screen that displays all of the invoices associated with the organization or project. You can see the status, amount, due date and payment date of each invoice.

- Invoice reminders: You can now set up automatic notifications to selected staff members, who in turn can send reminder emails to appropriate customers, before or after the due date of your invoices. This helps you collect payments faster and reduce the risk of late or missed payments. You can also customize the frequency, content, and recipients of your reminders.

- Report updates: We've made various updates to our reports so that you can get more insights into your business' performance.

Get your invoices paid

Experience the enhanced project and customer views now, with the added convenience of displaying an invoice summary!

With this latest enhancement, VOGSY offers comprehensive invoice information categorized by customer and project, along with timely alerts for overdue invoices. The fully customizable invoice reminders empower designated staff to send reminders effortlessly with just a single click.

Slice and dice your data!

We are thrilled to announce the release of a powerful new feature that enables users to efficiently categorize and filter data. With this latest update, you can now label your Persons, Organizations, Opportunities, and Projects, allowing for enhanced data analysis.

By enabling you to categorize and filter your data, this feature provides you with valuable insights and perspectives from different angles. You can explore your data, gaining deeper understanding and see patterns and trends.

Invite external lite users to VOGSY

We are delighted to introduce a new feature in VOGSY that enables external lite users, such as contractors, to access VOGSY to collaborate on projects or tasks using their existing email address. This feature eliminates the need for a dedicated domain account, making teaming up with external users seamless and hassle-free for both parties.

Improved budgeting and resourcing

We are pleased to announce that we have made significant improvements to the user interface for viewing calculations as well as for managing activities and costs and allocating resources to deliverables. With these updates, you'll now have access to more information, including:

• Totals for all calculated activities and calculated costs.
• Allocations of resources along with the number of hours allocated.

In addition to these improvements, we have also streamlined the allocation flow to make it easier to select one or more resources. We believe that these improvements will significantly heighten your experience by helping you set up your projects more efficiently.

Release notes for January through March 2023

Here are the improvements for the first quarter of 2023:

• New software integrations: Zoho and Sage.
• A landing page for the documentation with helpful category cards.
• Improved onboarding system
• A new client approval option
• Improved the Financial transactions report
• You can now start your subscription invoicing on any day of the month.
• You can now configure VOGSY to prefill an employee’s current timesheet with that employee’s planned project tasks.

E-mail notifications

We recently learned that some users were not receiving email notifications from VOGSY, even though they had configured VOGSY to send them. The purpose of this post is to alert our users that we recently updated VOGSY to fix this issue.

For those of you who do not want to receive email notifications from VOGSY, you can easily mute them from the Notifications settings view. To learn more about VOGSY notifications, check out our topic on the subject in the Help Center.
