Based on your feedback, we have made VOGSY's timesheets even more efficient and useful!
Submit options
The Submit button is now more clear and straightforward: Tap it to display your submit options: Today, Week till today, and Entire Week.
Auto submit
We also introduced the option to automatically submit your tracked time. This option is only available for the current week. If you switch on the Auto submit time entries at the end of the day toggle, each day (around 6 PM) VOGSY will submit the tracked time for the current day. This behavior will continue for all the weeks that follow until you switch off the toggle.
Only show today's activities
We added a filter that shows only the activities that are allocated for the current day. This filter hides activities that have a start date in the future or an end date in the past. Using this filter, you can easily see the activities you're supposed to work on today.
Notes per day
You can now have different notes for each time entry.
Click Note Per Day and the time entry form will expand to show a Note field for each time entry field.

With much pride, we would like to announce that a brand new version of VOGSY is coming!!
The dev team has given VOGSY a full-blown facelift so that it meets the latest standards in design and user experience. Also, the team completely overhauled the VOGSY engine to make it more robust and future-proof.
Besides a fresh look and upgraded back-end, lots of other improvements were made to key features like Task management, Timesheets, and Boards. See What's new in this version to learn about all the major improvements we made to VOGSY.

On the top of the menu panel, click the Experience the new VOGSY version now! option and your environment will be switched to https://preview.vogsy.io, which is the URL to the new version of VOGSY. Note that the counter displayed in parentheses is the number of days until the preview period ends, after which all VOGSY environments will be switched to the new version permanently.
During the preview period, you can return to the current version by simply navigating to the usual URL: https://vogsy.io.

Starting this month we will begin distributing release notes on a monthly basis. The release notes for January 2021 lists all of the major updates and bugfixes for the entire year of 2020. The release notes that follow this initial release will only cover the preceding month.
Each release note will divide the updates between Front office changes and Back office changes. Furthermore, you can filter the data by role or by VOGSY component.
The biggest updates in 2020
In 2020 we released lots of improvements for VOGSY, but here are the top three:
Placeholders. If you want to start planning for a project, but don't yet know which resources to assign, use a placeholder to reserve the hours necessary to complete the activities.
Pre-filled timesheets. We added a new option to the Employee settings page that determines if VOGSY should pre-fill timesheets based on the hours set during planning, or if the employee should do it manually.
New chart: Billable vs nonbillable hours. This chart displays data about the number of overall hours worked, as well as billable vs. non-billable work hours.

VOGSY's newest update allows you to complete many of your VOGSY workflows, such as quote acceptance or draft invoice approval, without leaving Gmail.
Lets take the draft invoice approval workflow as an example. When VOGSY generates a draft invoice, a dynamic email notification is sent to the project manager's Gmail account. This email contains the same notification card that is added to the project manager's feed.
The manager can approve or reject the draft invoice right from the dynamic email, without having to return to VOGSY. The project manager can also view the draft invoice in Google Drive, or view the project for which the invoice was generated.
Dynamic email notifications are similar to feed notifications and browser notifications in that they can be turned on or off for a wide range of VOGSY events. By default this option is on for events that require your action (Note: These events also appear in your Actions view.), so if you prefer not to receive dynamic email notifications, be sure to go to the Settings page and set these events to.
Also, if we return to the draft invoice approval scenario mentioned earlier, if the project manager doesn't want to receive email notifications when draft invoices are generated, they can click the Stop my email notification for this event button located at the bottom of the email.
One last thing! If you have your Gmail inbox set up to display the Updates tab, VOGSY email notifications will appear there.
If your inbox is not set up to display the Updates tab, VOGSY email notifications will appear under the Primary tab.
The first time that Gmail receives a VOGSY email notification it might put it in the Spam folder, so if you are expecting an email but can't find it, check there. If you find it, be sure to click the Not spam button at the top of the email, and the email notification will be moved to the Updates tab or the Primary tab, depending on how you have your inbox configured.
Not only does the documentation have a new look, but we have updated several topics that we consider vital to your success. We also added new information. Our goal is to make VOGSY easier to use by delivering insightful and thorough documentation.
TIP: If you have bookmarks to our old website then you can do the following to update them, assuming you are using Chrome:
Right-click the bookmark and select Edit.
In the URL field, replace https://support.vogsy.io/manual/1/en/topic/ and add .html to the end of the URL.
For example, https://support.vogsy.io/manual/1/en/topic/charts becomes https://support.vogsy.io/docs/userguide/charts.html.
Note that the URL for the landing page differs a bit from the above pattern: https://support.vogsy.io/docs/index.html.
